Course Access Time
How long do I have access to my online courses?
Access time depends on the type of course you enroll in:
Individual Courses: 60 days
Medicolegal Death Investigator (MDI) Course: 180 days (6 months)
Topic-Based Course Bundles: 90 days
Everything Bundle: 365 days (1 year)
Please note that course availability beyond one year is not guaranteed due to updates, platform changes, or other factors. This does not include interruptions caused by natural disasters or major business disruptions.
Course Extensions
Can I extend my course access?
Yes, extensions are available depending on the course type.
Individual Courses
If you need additional time to complete an individual course:
The extension fee is equal to the current course enrollment price
The extension provides an additional 60 days of access
Once payment is received, the course will be restored to your dashboard
You will resume exactly where you left off
Medicolegal Death Investigator (MDI) Course
If your 6-month access period expires:
The course will no longer be visible in your dashboard
This policy applies to all students without exception
However, you may request an extension:
Extension Fee: $300 per 6-month extension
Extension Length: 6 months only (no shorter or longer options available)
You will resume where you left off once reactivated
How to Request an Extension:
Email Student Support and include:
Your name
Current mailing address
Email address for invoicing
Once your request is reviewed and approved, an invoice will be issued. Access will be restored after payment is received.
24-Month Course Limit (MDI Course Only)
The MDI course cannot be extended or reopened if:
It has been 24 months or more since your original course start date, or
An extension would push your course beyond the 24-month limit
This policy is in place because the course is regularly updated to reflect current practices, standards, and legal changes.
Example:
If your course began on March 3, 2023, your 24-month cutoff is March 3, 2025.
If an extension would move your access beyond that date, it cannot be approved.
In these cases, students must repurchase the course and begin again.
Additional Notes
Most students complete the MDI course within 8 to 10 weeks, so extensions are not commonly needed. However, we understand that schedules and circumstances vary, which is why extension options are available within the policy guidelines.
