How Do I Co-Host a Course?
Overview
The Death Investigation Training Academy (DITA) offers agencies the opportunity to co-host training courses at their location. This is often referred to as “free training” because hosting agencies receive complimentary seats in exchange for providing basic accommodations.
Co-hosted training is a practical way to bring high-quality, nationally recognized instruction directly to your agency and the surrounding region without the added cost of travel.
How Co-Hosting Works
In a co-hosted training, your agency partners with DITA to provide a training location while we handle the logistics of delivering the course.
DITA and your agency will both promote the training to nearby departments and professionals. DITA manages all registrations, payments, and course delivery.
What DITA Provides
When you co-host a course, DITA will handle all instructional and administrative aspects, including:
Marketing support to regional agencies
An on-site national coordinator to manage the training
Accredited, experienced instructors
All student materials, including manuals, handouts, and certificates
Full management of student registration and payment processing
What the Hosting Agency Provides
To co-host a course, your agency will need to provide:
A training facility that can accommodate approximately 30 or more students
Basic audio and visual equipment
Assistance in notifying surrounding agencies about the training
Many agencies also choose to provide light refreshments such as coffee or water, though this is not a strict requirement.
Benefits of Co-Hosting
Co-hosting offers several advantages:
Free training seats for your staff
2 free seats with 10 or more paid attendees
5 free seats with 20 or more paid attendees
Reduced travel and lodging costs for your personnel
Convenient access to high-quality training in your area
Recognition as a leader in supporting professional development
Visibility through inclusion in DITA marketing materials
Training Flexibility
Each co-hosted training session is customized to your agency’s needs. Course selection, scheduling, and hosting details are coordinated on a case-by-case basis. Additional discounts or tuition credits may be available for hosting agencies.
Our Instructors
All DITA instructors are experienced professionals who are either currently working in the field or recently retired. They are third-party accredited and certified to teach in their respective disciplines, ensuring that students receive practical, real-world instruction.
